Hello My Linh. I met you the night of the French Jazz Singer at the Metropole Sofitel in 2008 just before you were to go on concert in HCMC. I was there with my son, Sven Ellsworth who did the redecorating of the main restaurant in the hotel and was the lady from America who was a makeup artist. A week or so later on a Sunday, we met up again at the Diva restaurant. I wanted you to know that I have not forgotten you. Do you remember the young Vietnamese man that was sitting with my son and I that day? He was killed in a tragic accident down in Hue on June 1, 2009 while swimming off the coast and was caught up in a rip tide. He was our interpreter and son of our Vietnamese family in Ha Noi. I returned to Ha Noi that June for his funeral and have not returned since. My son had already started working in Bangkok so after the funeral, we packed up the house in West Lake and returned to Bangkok within five days. My son has since been “adopted” by his Vietnamese family, but still lives in Bangkok and I go there every six months now. I hope to get back to Ha Noi someday and would like to get in touch with you and see you at that time again. I continue to play your music constantly. The people here in America that hear it say that it is the most beautiful voice they have ever heard. As you know, I more than agree. I miss Ha Noi so much. It became my home and I miss it and all my friends. I was making plans to live there with my son, but after the Intercontinental Hotel was finished and his work done, he could not find another job in Ha Noi and had to go on to Bangkok where he began working with the Conrad Hilton Hotel chain and has now just finished with the new Raddison Twin Towers. His next job is with Four Season’s. I hope that you will receive this email and will be able to respond so we can keep in touch. May you and your family be blessed with good health and prosperity. Sincerely, Dee Dee Ellsworth
